In Kyiv: so, we’ve got our luggage and drove to Boryspil airport. After 1,5 hours spent in 4 queues, we finally got aboard. Nothing interesting as for the flight, the only thing to mention is Moldavian Rugby Team flying with us to Tbilisi. Tough guys, with iPhones. A bit strange.

We’ve seen all the Ukraine and Azov sea from 10km, but it became cloudy while approaching Caucasus Range. Nevertheless, we’re given a chance to see true mountains.

Just after not so soft landing we’ve notced our Mriya extra-large aircraft in Tbilisi airport (it could be seen in the background). Tbilisi met us with brand new airport, “Beeline” in Georgian, pretty warm weather and happy Giga.

The hotel (Spa, or Partizan) — mmm.. hotel? I suppose it was the greatest shock for us in Tbilisi. We’ve payed 120 USD for 2 nights, but. The cockroaches!!11 These palm-sized creatures made us consolidated in one room with bottle of cognac. Pfff… The thriller.

And in the morning, begun the first BarCamp Caucasus. We arrived to Georgian National Museum and saw lots of familiar faces — Latvia, Georgia, Kazakhstan..

…happy to meet us!

Organizers were cleaning open-air auditoriums from dust…

Participants were scheduling their presentations…

Soon Giga, Irene and Aja opened the event… And internet started going on.

Lots of attendees…

Kyrgyzstan & Ukraine

Lots of presentations…

… and lots of discussions.
When the first day ended we made a short uphill in the museum territory and made some shots:

We spent the evening of the first day in old downtown (that’s because we had found coffee there only).

Suddenly the weather became rainy, and we found shelter in a cozy Georgian cafe, with bottle of Alazan Valley white vine. That was great )
Next photos coming soon, so you’d better got the RSS.
